Description

The root zone of plants are an extremely important component contributing to their metabolism and as a result, growth. If temperatures fall out of the optimal range, this will significantly stunt growth. Water heaters are used to keep a reservoir at the optimum temperature in order to allow for the most efficient nutrient uptake for your plants.

Dophin submersible water heaters can be fully immersed in the water and because of this, are highly efficient. These heaters can be placed fairly low in the reservoir (close to the bottom of the tank.)  The heater has an internal thermostat that will activate and deactivate the heater, maintaining an optimum temperature of 20 degrees C. It is usually more efficient if you position it horizontally in the tank, as this distributes the heat more evenly as apposed to positioning the heater upright.
