Air Pruning Pots are circular in shape, with a corrugated wall that has open sides, allowing for additional air uptake.

Traditional pots with a hard exterior force roots to encircle the outer edge of the pot, leaving wasted valuable space towards the centre. When using Air Pruning Pots, the root of the plant will reach one of the open slots on the outside, where it is pruned by air and light. A signal is then sent to the roots from the plant to produce more shoots, resulting in increased root growth. This allows a much healthier and larger root system to be produced, in a short period of time. The root system is able to take in more water, nutrients and oxygen, creating a larger and more abundant plant in a shorter period of time than when grown in a traditional hard pot.

We recommend these pots for outdoor use as they are very durable and some substrate will fall through the sides, making it a messy experience for indoor growers.
