INFORMATION

Description

Handcrafted Freedom Farms Pots are all about freeing your roots from the stresses that come with conventional container growing. Due to its high porosity, the breathable material of the pots maximizes root zone aeration and drainage, along with a multitude of other benefits mentioned below.

These pots are made from a durable geotextile fabric which are 100% recyclable and completely safe to use as a planting container.

Benefits of Freedom Farms fabric pot?

  • Due to its high porosity, the breathable material of the pots maximizes root zone aeration and drainage, improving root health and nutrient absorption.
  • Gas exchange therefore not only occurs through the upper surface of the container, but also through the sides. Evaporative cooling also takes place at the surfaces (sides) of the pot, buffering excessive temperature increases when growing in full sun.
  • The breathability of Freedom Farms Pots prevents root circling by allowing roots to self-prune, increasing the density of fresh root tips. This postpones root bound symptoms and alleviates transplant shock. Optimizing root zone conditions is paramount to maximizing your plant’s performance.
  • Geotextile fabric is used for the manufacturing of Freedom Pots. Geotextiles are 100% recyclable and completely safe for use as a planting container. Being quite inert, nothing leaches from the fabric into your soil or the surrounding groundwater. The geotextiles used are also resistant to UV damage and general weathering. Due to the durability and toughness of the fabric, Freedom Pots can be reused multiple times.
  • The pots are machine washable, although hand washing is recommended.

Contact us for custom size pots - e.g. 1.1m x 1.1m x 60cm for indoor super soil growing.

Please Note:

The fabric pots will be labeled Green Houston or Freedom Farms. The pots are identical in manufacturing and material. Please contact us for custom requests.

The pots tend to sit out a bit more when filled with soil. More so with the larger pots.

For organic growing we recommend minimum size of a 20L pot, a larger volume is likely better. Amongst other benefits this allows for the soil to be populated by small arthropods, nematodes and earthworms.
